The Model 892 Data Expansion Subsystem is a hardware component intended to increase the input capabilities of the Series 890C family of fuel cell test systems. The model 892 is configured with two factory-installed eight-channel data acquisition modules, each of which is factory-configured for one of several input types.

- Remote operation from RS-485 interface with an 890C or host computer direct using RS-232/485 converter
- 16 thermocouple inputs with cold junction compensation, or 16 Voltage or Current inputs, or 8 voltage or current inputs and 8 thermocouple inputs
