The FuelCell® software is designed to control or monitor virtually all of the parameters of an operating PEM type fuel cell or stack and perform a wide variety of experiments. It is technology independent and may also be used with DMFC, PAFC, MCFC or SOFC type fuel cells. FuelCell software is the most popular software in use worldwide for fuel cell R&D.
FuelView software now available for download! FuelView is a powerful utility for analyzing, graphing, and comparing data collected from FuelCell. Basic modeling functions are also included.
Fuelcell® for Windows: Software Updates
Version 4.0c is now available (released 6/17/2010). This version is fully compatible with Windows 2000, XP Pro and Windows Vista.
**Scribner Associates continues to recommend XP Pro as our preferred operating system. Scribner Associates does not recommend upgrading a working Win2k/XP PC to Vista.**
Note: Fuelcell 4.0c is a free upgrade. Fuelcell program will function in demonstration mode if no valid instrument is detected.
For upgrading from all previous versions of FuelCell:
- Download FuelCell® Version 4.0c (fc40c.exe) (~1.6 MB).
- Copy the downloaded file to a temporary location on your hard drive.
- Run the downloaded file to install the update.
- All instrument configuration information will be retained.
Download or Upgrade FuelView:
- Download FuelView Version 1.3b (fv13b.exe) (~1.4 MB).
- Copy the downloaded file to a temporary location on your hard drive.
- Run the downloaded file to install the update.

New Features in FuelCell: Notice to FuelCell Version 1.x / 2.x users: FuelCell Version 3.x was a completely new version. It has a entirely new look and feel and contains many new capabilities. We strongly recommend that you upgrade to the latest version 4.x release!
New features in version 3.x / 4.x include:
- Improved graphics
- Performs complex experiment sequences
- Improved impedance measurement (requires Solartron Impedance Analyzer)
- New data file format allows user to select which data values are saved.
- ZPLOT no longer required for impedance measurement (requires ZVIEW only).
- Added support for wet/dry with certain hardware.
