LEAD ELECTRONIC DESIGN AND INTEGRATION ENGINEER
Department: Engineering
Accountability: This position reports to the Director of Engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Design circuit board assemblies and system-level electronics using CAD and simulation tools to meet all functional product requirements, including manufacturability
- Perform technical design reviews and assessments to ensure products meet requirements
- Prepare manufacturing documentation for boards and systems for release to production
- Provide technical and hands-on support to engineering, validation, purchasing, quality, and production departments
- Provide technical support as needed to end customers and sales channels
- Conduct continuous improvement reviews and sustaining engineering initiatives
- Integration of third-party instruments (electronic loads, power supplies, potentio-stats, etc.) into Scribner test systems
Requirements:
- A self-starter in product design with a “can-do” attitude
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- A BSEE degree or equivalent experience
- At least five years of professional board-level product design experience
- Analog and microprocessor-based hardware design
- Embedded programming (C and assembly)
- Full-time on-premises position
Highly Desirable:
- Team leadership and project management experience
- Board-level design using Digital Signal Processor (DSP) controllers
- Test fixture design
- USB host communications interface design
- Electrochemical instrument design including Impedance Spectroscopy / Impedance Analysis hardware and firmware
- Hands-on prototyping and rapid iteration skills for early-stage experimental validation
Other Desirable Qualifications:
- MSEE degree
- PCB physical layout
- Sensor design
- Switching power converter design
- EMC testing and design for CE EMC and LVD regulatory compliance
- Industrial controls integration
- Military or space qualified design experience
SOFTWARE DEVELOPER AND INTEGRATION ENGINEER
Department: Engineering
Accountability: This position reports to the Lead Software Developer and Integration Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Develop new software packages for standard product applications and special projects
- Maintain existing software products by implementing new features and resolving bugs
- Assist with software-related technical support cases to ensure timely resolution
- Create and maintain intuitive, user-friendly graphical interfaces
- Manage Git repositories, ensuring proper version control and workflow practices
- Support production through development and maintenance of automated tools
- Conduct continuous improvement initiatives to optimize product performance
- Integrate third-party instruments (e.g., electronic loads, power supplies, potentio-stats, etc.) into Scribner test systems
- Perform other functions as required
Requirements:
- A self-starter in software development with a “can-do” attitude
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience
- At least two years of industry experience developing .NET C# applications for Windows platforms
- Ability to quickly learn other programming languages –experience in porting legacy applications written in Delphi 11 is a plus
- Hands-on experience with low-level hardware interface programming, including embedded development in C and assembly.
- Experience in Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) utilizing MVVM design pattern
- Experience with Test Driven Development (such as MSTest)
- Full-time on-premises position
Highly Desirable:
- Hands-on prototyping and rapid iteration skills for early-stage experimental validation
- Programming for USB, GPIB, and serial interfaces
- Industrial controls programing and integration
- Multithreading and near real-time operations
- OLE/COM programming interfaces
- Experienced in creating and deploying software installers
- Code signing processes and systems
- Jira and Confluence
